MAI Animal Health, an animal health manufacturer located in Elmwood, WI, proudly announces a partnership with VetWelding SA based in Switzerland to introduce the first Ultrasonic Resorbable Implant technology known as Bone Welding to provide solutions to Oral Maxillofacial and Orthopedic Veterinary specialists.
The partnership provides distribution in North America, New Zealand, and Australia through MAI Animal Health’s sales team and their extensive Distributor network.
Bone Welding technology is an innovative process to address a new integrative approach to bone fractures and degenerative diseases.
Bone Welding platform uses ultrasonic energy to implant resorbable polymeric and polymeric-coated reconstructive implants for oral maxillofacial ligament and tendon reattachment thus offering an alternative to traditional orthopedic and dental fixation devices.
Using ultrasonic energy, the polymeric implant liquefies and becomes embedded into the interstices of cancellous and cortical bone providing an immediate and secure implant that can be loaded immediately after surgery. Additional benefits of the Bone Welding implant system include a more efficient and cost-effective surgical procedure, improved stability, and quicker patient recovery.
