- Knife is constructed of hardened stainless steel
- When blade is removed and unfolded from the encased handle, it is rigidly affixed and secured in place to the handle
- Blade accepts one piece ear tags as the flattened elbowed ear retention tongue is fixed to the notched area at the sharpened point of the knife. The notch retaining the one piece tag allows the piercing of feed lot cattle’s ear and entry of the flattened ear tag bar through the ear
- Upon entry the knife is withdrawn and the notched knife releases the tag which returns to its normal elbowed position securing it to the ear as the knife is withdrawn
- Simple to load tags and apply
